+ What is a SlingShirt?

SlingShirt is a post-surgery shirt designed for anyone required to wear a sling. Utilizing embedded magnets this unique, patented design enables an individual to dress independently without compromising the injured arm.

+ Is SlingShirt available for either arm?

We can accommodate both right or left arms. Whichever arm is being operated on will be the 'side' you select from the dropdown menu during your purchase.

+ I live alone and MUST be able to dress myself. Will I be able to put SlingShirt on?

Yes, this was a main reason why we created SlingShirt. Before your surgery, we reccomend practicing wearing a SlingShirt in front of a mirror. You can head to our How It Works section of the website for an in depth video tutorial for tips on how to put a SlingShirt on smoothly so you can have a seamless experience during your recovery.

+ Can I wear a SlingShirt to sleep?

Yes, people enjoy sleeping in their SlingShirt, especially the first few days after surgery since you're not moving around as much.

+ Can I wear SlingShirt in public?

Taking the concept from a quote of the great Deion Sanders, “If you look good, you feel good, If you feel good, you play good." We wanted to provide a practical shirt to ease the difficulty of getting dressed during someone's recovery, and look good doing it so you don't feel like you've missed a beat.

+ Does SlingShirt wash well?

There is no problem washing and drying SlingShirt. We suggest to close the magnets of the shirt before putting in the wash. Dry on Low.

+ How does it fit?

Our shirts have a more fitted design so in that case we do recommend going one size larger than you would when you would buy a t-shirt.

+ Are there any risks with the embedded magnets in SlingShirt?

There are two very important things to be aware of with SlingShirt and the embedded magnets. Those individuals with pacemakers or similar medical devices SHOULD NOT wear a SlingShirt due to the magnets. Also, because of the magnets, DO NOT wear a SlingShirt during a MRI exam.

Sizing

+ Is SlingShirt one size fits all?

No, SlingShirt is unisex with sizes from Small to XXXXL. Check out our sizing chart.

+ I normally wear a 2X, will SlingShirt size XXL fit me?

Our shirts are a more fitted design so we reccomend going up a size. Before you order, check your measurement around your torso. If you're on the leaner side then you ay be able to get away with ordering the same size you would normally wear a regular t-shirt, but if you're on the heavier side then we would recommend sizing up.

+ I’m a 38D and wear a Large t-shirt. Will a Large SlingShirt fit me?

A Large will be a little tight. We would recommend going up a size.

+ I’m a woman and wear a size small. Will your SlingShirt Small size fit me?

SlingShirt Small's will fit a woman size 2-4. It is a fitted design so no blousing or flaring-out If you are big busted, we would recommend that you go up one size. Check out our sizing chart if you're not sure, or give us a call.
